Flokia Landing Page

A modern, responsive landing page project built to demonstrate front-end development expertise and deliver a compelling brand experience for a startup concept.

The Flokia Landing Page was designed and developed as a portfolio project to showcase how a clean, conversion-focused landing page can be built entirely with vanilla front-end technologies. I wanted to create a visual identity that feels both modern and trustworthy, with a clear hierarchy that guides visitors toward the primary call to action. Every section is crafted to maintain engagement while respecting performance budgets.

Technically, the page uses HTML5 semantic markup for accessibility and SEO, CSS3 custom properties for consistent theming, and CSS Grid together with Flexbox to build flexible, responsive layouts that adapt seamlessly from 320px to 1440px and beyond. No external CSS frameworks or JavaScript libraries were used — just native web technologies that keep the page light and fast.

Key highlights of the project include:

  • Mobile-first responsive design with carefully chosen breakpoints at 568, 768, 1024 and 1200 pixels
  • Accessible ARIA landmark regions and semantic heading structure
  • Smooth scroll navigation, hover micro-interactions and a sticky header that never covers content
  • Optimised Core Web Vitals: fast Largest Contentful Paint via preloaded hero media, minimal Cumulative Layout Shift thanks to aspect-ratio containers
  • Lazy loading for below‑the‑fold images and deferrable third‑party embeds (where applicable)
  • Cross-browser testing across Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge

Beyond the technical implementation, this project helped me refine my workflow around design systems and component‑based thinking. I developed reusable card, button and media components that can be pulled into future projects, which speeds up development without sacrificing consistency.
